Cons:
Price point is a bit higher than other LMS solutions and we have seen reviews online that complain of longer wait times for customer service support.

Adobe Captivate

The scoop
Adobe Captivate is an authoring tool that is used for creating e learning content such as software demonstrations, software simulations, branched scenarios, and randomized quizzes in Shockwave Flash and HTML5 formats.
Pros

Cons

It is a great option for big employers or organizations.
Cons
Documentation online for solutions or problem solving for interface can be limited; you can access online help however.

Articulate 360

The scoop
Another “work-together” platform is Articulate. A bonus is that with your subscription, you gain access to 7+ million stock assets, a project review app to collect feedback from reviewers, and online training.
Pros
Like Elucidat, it boasts exclusive collaboration features, like shared templates in Storyline 360 and creating and editing courses at the same time in Rise 360.
Cons
If you are a smaller entity, the price for this platform could be cost prohibitive.

Shift

The scoop
Shift is cloud-based, easy-to-use, fully managed, mobile-friendly, responsive, scalable, secure. Shift is made for instructional designers, learning and development professionals, eLearning program directors, training managers primarily. SHIFT pricing starts at $120.00 per user, per month.
Pros
This option is great for large scale and small scale operations, and has excellent responsive design for a great user experience.
Cons
Like Articulate 360, if you are a smaller entity this may not be the platform for you in terms of pricing.

Blackboard Learn

The scoop
Blackboard serves higher education, K-12, business and government clients around the world.
Pros
Blackboard Learn’s organization is helpful for both teachers and students who use the program, the course materials and submissions are easily kept track of in the program. The strongest aspect of this tool is the level of organization that Blackboard Learn offers.
Cons
The user interface is not always intuitive, in particular the mobile experience can lack versus its competitors.

Edstellar

The Scoop

Cons
Edstellar is a fairly new platform as of this article being written so there are not curently a lot of online resources to learn the intracies of the software from end users, nor are there many user initiated reviews of how well the service has worked for them.
