If you want to learn how to use Prezi before you call us, this is the article for you. You can learn the basics on how to use prezi with the following tips below and create stellar presentations in prezi using the tips given by our professional team!
Interactivity, Fluid Animation & Zooming
The zoom function is Prezi’s most important differentiator. It simply allows you to zoom out with a mouse click. When you need to speak about a specific topic or if you need to further emphasize your idea, this feature is amazing!
Our first tip is remember that every object in Prezi is interactive. If you double click or scroll into text or an object in prezi, the viewer will smart zoom into the object in the presentation. Click outside of the object or text, and you’ll zoom back out. If your text or image is rotated, the canvas will automatically rotate for the smart zoom. If you are in the editor, if you go into animations and add a zoom to an object or text, it will do exactly that. This helps put emphasis on a point, image or object in your presentation. Especially if you want people to remember a certain fact or visual in prezi. Creating engagement in prezi is simple and smooth with its zoom function.
Creating a story or big picture presentations with zooming is the best and not like any other boring presentation! Get engagement with simple animation, fluid motion and creating what is essentially a storyboard of all your ideas in your presentation. Also, if you want to make an impression with your presentations, people are more likely to pay attention to something moving and that is not static. Prezi’s non-linear means that you have the utmost flexibility when moving from one idea to the other.
Dynamic Templates
Prezi comes with template presentations that never get old and always seem new when you drop your personalized content in your prezi.
Our next tip is you can make a template seem new if you brand your content, change the colours to a consistent palette than what was in the template and sometimes change the hierarchy of text in your planets or stacks. The colour scheme of the templates probably have been used time and time again, but if you take the time to re-adjust, you can probably create something that suits your business or organization or personal brand.
Get the most of out of prezi using the zoom in/out animations. You can make an object small and unnoticeable but have it zoom in cleverly to create a dynamic transition. You can change a template in this way – whatever animation they’re using per slide, you can deviate from and this prezi will be slightly different than the prebuilt template!
The Shift Key
Another one of our prezi tips is you can move multiple objects at once without grouping them in presentations. Simply press the Shift key on your keyboard and drag across the prezi canvas to select multiple objects you need. You can click now on an object and move the objects around.
You can also copy these objects, keep it in your clipboard and transfer it to another prezi easily, making it easy to migrate information between presentations. You can keep creating without having to select multiple objects in a cumbersome way, keeping your content fresh and new. You can scale quite easily and proportionately in prezi after you’ve grabbed several objects!
The Plus Button
Another one of our tips is the plus button! This button in prezi will open up a selection of five different layouts to choose from. You can keep your work consistent in your prezi and across your presentations. This is the best way you can make sure you stay consistent and on brand. Your slides won’t seem random next to each other and you get the best visual harmony by the use of this tool.
Full Customization, Spell-Check, Sophisticated Text Editor
Another one of our tips is to play and use the text editor in the UI of prezi. You can drag and drop documents or simply cut and paste into the body of the prezi. Prezi also has a spell checker that you can use. The text editor also allows for font to be changed, bullets and indents. This is particularly helpful for people who are creating text dense Prezi – importing information isn’t too complicated in the program.
Custom Icons and Other Image Content
Do you want to save some time in terms of not having to produce all the graphic design contents? One of our tips is to use the pre-made icons and image content in Prezi. These do not need to be licensed once you are subscribed to Prezi. You will want to use the icons in prezi at the very least. They are clean and honestly best to use in a pinch. You also have access to drawings and diagrams in prezi. You can find the drawings and diagrams templates by clicking the button between YouTube and File from the Insert menu in the prezi interface.
Drawing Tools and Editing Markup
You can also draw things with the pencil tool in prezi. This is best for those who have a tablet, though the program smooths out mouse lines to a degree. If you like to draw and illustrate ideas without straight lines, perfect circles and want to give your prezi a hand-drawn quality, the pencil tool is the best! People do like seeing what seems like organic content in prezi, after all.
If you are making revisions back and forth with a client or employee, you can highlight text in prezi using the highlighter tool. This makes this very obvious which areas to correct or maybe could work as a design element in a text based prezi.
